Flat Tyre on Betty

Poor Betty (Our red Massey Ferguson tractor) picked up a flat tyre yesterday.

I went up to the shed to cut the paddock with her and found water all over the floor and Betty leaning to one side.

I had never had to fix a flat on a tractor before. Usually, there is a spare wheel in a car when you get a flat there.

So I got the hi-lift jack out, put her up on stands, and took the wheel off.

I took a quick trip to Tyrepower down the road to drop it off, and it was ready by the afternoon.

There was a tiny pinprick of a hole that went through the tyre and the tube. Nothing a good patch won't fix.

I picked up the tyre in the morning after the school bus drop and got the wheel back onto Betty.

She is now ready to roll, pun intended 😁
